AceShowbiz - Bella Thorne is not attending the 2018 Teen Choice Awards despite being nominated in several categories. The "Famous in Love" alum is a no show at the Sunday, August 12 event after expressing her disdain at the award-giving show.
"Teen choice is gross," she began her lengthy tirade posted on Twitter last month. "The fact we are even voting against each other is .... it f**ks w kids heads like a beauty competition ..."

She added, "I'm #boycottingteenchoice besides it being rigged it's just f***ed up."

She continued her rant, particularly targeting the Choice Hottie categories in another tweet, "Vote for the hottest is so gross How about smartest? Or a charity category? How about we hype people up for doing good things not being hot."

Bella has not explained based on what she made such accusations.
The 20-year-old star is nominated in three categories at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, for Choice TV Actress - Drama/Action Adventure award for her role of Paige on Freeform's now-canceled drama series "Famous in Love", Choice Movie Actress: Drama and Choice Movie Drama for her portrayal of Katherine "Katy" Price in "Midnight Sun" as well as Choice Movie Ship with Patrick Schwarzenegger in "Midnight Sun".
The former Nickelodeon star has previously won Teen Choice Awards for Choice Movie: Villain for her role in "The DUFF" in 2015. She last attended the show in 2017, during which she was also nominated for Choice TV Actress: Drama for her role on "Famous in Love" and for Choice Summer Movie Actress for "Amityville: The Awakening"
