The Peru vacation took place eight months after Shannen went into remission following her two-year breast cancer battle.

AceShowbiz - Shannen Doherty's husband Kurt Iswarienko has been hit with legal action over a $10,000 (£7,800) bill for the couple's 2017 vacation in Peru.

The photographer reportedly recruited booking agents from New York-based company The Adventure Traveler in December (17) to help plan a last-minute luxury getaway, just two days before he wanted to whisk Shannen off to South America.

Firm officials decided to wave their policy requiring full payment in advance as they continued to work with Iswarienko to plan excursions during the trip, and instead had him put down a $5,000 (£3,900) deposit.

They sent him an invoice for the remaining balance upon his return, but Iswarienko has yet to pay up, even though he was apparently thrilled with the travel agents' work.

"(Iswarienko) never contested (the) invoice but rather noted his happiness with the trip through several text messages including a message received on January 2, 2018, upon his return from the Peru trip," the plaintiffs write in legal papers obtained by the New York Post's Page Six.

Travel bosses also claim their lawsuit is a last-ditch attempt to obtain the funds they insist they are still owed: "Plaintiff attempted to resolve this dispute with defendant outside of the courtroom; however, such efforts were to no avail," they add.

The vacation reportedly included $450 (£350) for a "surfing host", and $350 (£270) for a "private guided excursion to Machu Picchu".

The Adventure Traveler executives are now suing to reclaim the owed fees, which amounts to just under $10,000.
