Bruce Willis' David Dunn believes he is 'a protector' who has to stop someone, presumably The Beast, whom he dubs a mass murderer.

AceShowbiz - When The Beast is unleashed, it's David Dunn's job to stop him. Bruce Willis' superpowered character returns in a new sneak peek for M. Night Shyamalan's "Glass", which also brings back Samuel L. Jackson's frail-bodied evil mastermind Elijah Price / Mr. Glass from 2000's "Unbreakable".

The short video shares a few lines from the upcoming movie along with shots of Dunn's scenes. He is heard saying in voiceover, "Listen to me. He's a mass murderer. I have to stop him." Meanwhile, Sarah Paulson's Dr. Ellie Staple assumes that Dunn thinks himself as "a protector."

In the "Split" sequel, James McAvoy reprises his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb a.k.a. The Horde. "We get to spend some time with some new people that live inside Kevin," McAvoy recently said of what to expect in the upcoming film.

Sarah Paulson's character Dr. Ellie Staple is described as a psychiatrist treating people who "believe themselves to be superheroes." Crumb, Dunn and Price are her patients as a recently released photo hinted that the three of them are getting treated in the same facility.

"She deals with people that think they're comic-book characters," the helmer, Shyamalan, previously said of Paulson's character. "It's kind of the modern-day equivalent of 'I think I'm Jesus' or 'I'm an emperor.' "

According to the official synopsis, "Following the conclusion of 'Split', 'Glass' finds Dunn pursuing Crumb's superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men."

Anya Taylor-Joy also returns as Casey Cooke, who was kidnapped by Kevin and his other personalities in "Split". The movie additionally brings back Charlayne Woodard as Elijah's mom, and Spencer Treat Clark as David's son. "[They] play a big role," Shyamalan says of the two characters who were previously featured in "Unbreakable".

"Glass" is scheduled for a January 18, 2019 release in the U.S. The first trailer is set to debut this Friday, July 20.
