The retired lighting director adds that the silent treatment he's been given is 'silly' and a 'wishful thinking' on their part that he'll just go away.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle's dad Thomas seemingly makes sure that everyone, including the British royal family, know where he stands. The retired lighting director, who has been giving a headache to his daughter and royal family following her wedding to Prince Harry back in May, appears to be planning to keep giving interviews until royal family stops the silent treatment against him.

Talking to TMZ, Thomas reveals that he's unfazed by the news that Meghan and his husband are reportedly frustated by his recent interview with The Sun. He insists that he did the paid interview, in which he suggested that the Duchess of Sussex was "terrified" by her new life as a royal, because he just wants to be involved in their lives.

"I was silent for a full year and the press beat me up every day saying I was a hermit hiding in Mexico, so I gave my story," he shares. "Apparently that interview put the royal family in their silence mode ... so, I gave another interview to break the silence. All they have to do is speak to me."

Thomas, who wasn't able to attend Meghan's wedding due to heart surgery, adds that the silent treatment he's been given is "silly" and a "wishful thinking" on their part that he'll just go away. However, he says that it won't happen since he just wants to be in contact with his daughter Meghan.

"Tomorrow is my birthday, 74 years old, and I'm enjoying the fact that I can make the entire Royal Family not speak and maybe I can get a laugh out of the Duchess," he continues saying.

It's reported that Meghan and the royal family have been stressed out by Thomas' unauthorized interviews. From staging paparazzi photos to clear his image to slamming Queen Elizabeth II for meeting President Donald Trump before him, Thomas has fazed her daughter and the royal family.
