The 'Fuller House' star, who just welcomed his baby boy, shares a sweet throwback pic of himself with his late father, Bill.

AceShowbiz - John Stamos paid an emotional tribute to his late father on social media.

The 54-year-old actor and wife Caitlin McHugh welcomed their baby boy Billy into the world on 10 April, and the "Fuller House" star took to Instagram on Friday, July 6, to share a sweet throwback pic of himself with his late father, Bill.

"17 years ago I lost my best friend. Dad, I appreciate you right now more than ever," he captioned the sweet shot on Instagram.

John's father died in 1998, and his mother Loretta passed away in 2014.

The actor has previously shared how he is loving every second of fatherhood.

"It's more beautiful than I imagined. Everything is more colourful, more exciting. Music, you know, sounds better. He's just a beautiful little boy," John told Entertainment Tonight. "I woke up this morning and I sang him House at Pooh Corner, the Christopher Robin (song). I started crying. It was great."

And he was hugely impressed with how his wife Caitlin dealt with labour.

"My wife was so beautiful and so graceful through it all, like she does life," John beamed. "I mean, she just kind of breezed through. I hate to tell women, but she did it in about 20 minutes. It happens so fast and then they were like, 'Take pictures! Grab her leg!' And then it was over, but it was just beautiful."

Before Billy was born, the actor revealed he was ready to be a dad.

"I've waited my whole life for this," he confessed. "I'm already so emotional and so excited... I've been dreaming about our baby. I mean, I am really excited."
