AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato has confused fans by uploading a cryptic social media post seemingly throwing shade at someone.

Fans of the popstar, who recently suffered a relapse after six years of sobriety, were left puzzled on Thursday night (July 05) when Demi took to Twitter to somewhat sarcastically wish an undisclosed person luck in their latest business venture.

"Good luck on your blog," the "Sober" singer stated simply, with no indication as to who she was referring to.

It prompted a widespread investigation from her loyal legion of fans, who quickly pointed the finger at Mike Bayer, founder of CAST Centers, the mental health and addiction treatment clinic that Demi co-owns.

The life coach has previously been credited with helping the star get sober following her 2011 rehab stint and appeared with Demi during an emotional interview on American talk show "Dr. Phil" earlier this year.

But he came under fire on Thursday when he posted a video to his Instagram page slamming "rude" and "fake" artists, which many fans took to be aimed specifically at the "Sorry Not Sorry" hitmaker.

"I worked in entertainment for many years being a life coach for a lot of different pop stars and actors, and my biggest pet peeve is when they use excuses because they call themselves artists," Mike says in the clip, adding air quotes around the word artists. "I'm here today to explain to you that being an artist and being talented are two different things. To me, being an artist is living your authentic life."

He added: "I think if somebody uses it as an excuse to be late, or insincere, or rude, or unapologetic, that's not being an artist, that's being a jerk. And you shouldn't stand for that."

Demi's fans quickly began writing "Good luck on your blog" on Mike's post in support of the singer, while others called him out for deserting the star. Entertainment Tonight also reported that the pair has unfollowed each other on Twitter.
