The theory, first started by a Twitter user, claims that the Canadian rapper hired Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo to kill XXX following their 2017 feud.

AceShowbiz - A new conspiracy theory links Drake to XXXTENTACION's death. Those who are not familiar with the hip-hop industry may find this theory odd, but the two artists apparently had a not-so-good history together that sparked this speculation.

Fans have been launching their own investigations on XXXTENTACION's murder and some claim that Drake is responsible for the 20 year-old rapper's death. The theory suggests that the Canadian spitter had the "Look at Me" hitmaker killed following their feud last year.

In 2017, XXX claimed Drake was impressed with him and promised to contact his manager "within a few days." However, Drake never kept his promise. A few days later, within the same week, Drake performed a new song, "KMT", which XXX fans alleged sounded similar to XXX's "Look at Me".

XXX then took to Twitter to rant against the 31-year-old star. XXX later deleted the tweets and claimed his Twitter account was hacked. In an interview with XXL Mag, he addressed the matter in a calmer fashion. "I'm aware of what Drake does as an artist," he said, still insinuating that Drake was guilty of ripping off his song. "But if Drake is gonna take the flow, and I don't know if he legitimately did, but if that is the situation, at least reach out...and then if you want to run off with the flow, then run off with the flow, but I'm going through a lot right now, so it would have been nice if before that happened to me, for Drake to have reached out to me personally."

XXX's rant apparently drew the ire of Drake as the former later posted on Instagram Story, "If anyone tries to kill me it was [Drake.] I'm snitching RN."

Twitter user @lexxidemorea initially suggested that Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo were responsible for the shooting since a geotagged Snapchat post showed that they were in the area at the time of the shooting. Moreover, an Instagram photo showed them in a car wearing red mask. TMZ previously reported that according to Broward County Sheriff’s Department, one of the armed suspects wore a red mask at the time of the shooting.

Kidd and Jojo quickly denied this. "I've been seeing a lot of comments, seeing a lot of things going on saying I had something to do with XXXTentacion's past," Kidd said in an Instagram post. "I ain't even know who the man was." Jojo also insisted they had nothing to do with XXX's death, saying in an Instagram video, "We out here tryna do us, Triple X, we been claiming that. We respect everybody, straight up."

The fan later took a cue from Drake's single "I'm Upset" which lyrics go, "End up gettin' loose and gettin' pictures from my ex, SMS, Triple X/That's the only time I ever shoot below the neck." As the song's lyrics contain the words triple X and so do the Instagram bios of both Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo, some fans believe that Drake hired the duo to kill XXX.

XXXTENTACION was laid to rest in a private funeral in Florida on Thursday, June 28. His public memorial service was held a day prior at the BB&T Center, Florida.
