The actor says in an interview, 'I reserved a restaurant for the night, for all the people that worked on the movie with me, because I wanted to just hang out with them.'

AceShowbiz - Kevin Costner would love to revisit the 1990 Oscars after snubbing the after-show party in favour of dinner with his "Dances with Wolves" cast and crew.

Costner's western, in which he played a Civil War soldier who befriends a tribe of Lakota Indians, picked up seven awards, including Best Picture and a Best Director prize for the actor, but he was so clueless about the way Hollywood worked he skipped the parties after the ceremony.

"I didn't do the Oscars correctly," he tells Parade magazine. "I reserved a restaurant for the night, for all the people that worked on the movie with me, because I wanted to just hang out with them.

"I didn't know I was supposed to do a victory lap. The next morning, I read in the newspapers: 'Ooh, Kevin Costner didn't show up to Spago'. But I didn't know anything about Hollywood! I had made about five movies in my career at that point."

And he's still the most anti-Hollywood movie star - he's not even sure where his Dances With Wolves Oscars are: "I think they're in a safe," he says.
