The 'Star Wars' actor is set to moderate a fan chat with the band at a relaunch party for classic album 'Mondo Deco'.

AceShowbiz - Star Wars icon Mark Hamill is helping to give his old pals in The Quick a big boost by moderating a fan chat with the band at a relaunch party for classic album Mondo Deco.

The actor will talk to band members Danny Benair and Steve Hufsteter as part of The Making of Mondo Deco: The Quick event at Beyond Baroque in Venice, California on 14 June, which will coincide with the reissue of the group's 1976 debut, which was co-produced by late music legend Kim Fowley and original Sparks guitarist Earle Mankey.

The new release features an additional 10 demo tracks, an unreleased bonus, and commentary by drummer Benair.

A spokesman for The Quick tells WENN, "Mark Hamill was friends with the band way back in the mid-1970s and he jumped at the chance to be part of this event, which will introduce a new generation to The Quick."

The California group disbanded in 1978, but singer Danny Wilde went on to form Great Buildings and The Rembrandts, who recorded the hit theme from TV show Friends, I'll Be There for You.
