If the deal is sealed, the 'Greatest Showman' actor will play late Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative Robert Ames.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman is reportedly in talks to star in a new film about late Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative Robert Ames.

The Good Spy will be based on Kai Bird's biography chronicling the story of the CIA operative who was killed in a bomb attack outside the American Embassy in Beirut in 1983.

Ames' grave at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia is the only one that acknowledges he was a CIA agent, according to Deadline.

F. Scott Frazier is writing the script for The Good Spy, while 2 Guns filmmaker Baltasar Kormakur is in negotiations to direct the movie.

If Jackman signs on it will not be the first time the Wolverine actor has played a real-life person - in 2017 he portrayed Barnum & Bailey Circus founder P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman and in this year's The Front Runner, the Australian star will play former U.S. presidential candidate Gary Hart.
