The English media personality hopes that he can remain close with his ex after calling it quits, just like Chris and Gwyneth.

AceShowbiz - Jack Osbourne and his estranged wife Lisa are keen to follow in the footsteps of exes Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow by keeping their divorce friendly.

Lisa Osbourne filed court papers in Los Angeles on Friday, May 18, to end the couple's six-year marriage, just three months after welcoming its third child, daughter Minnie.

The pair released a joint statement about the split via Instagram hours after the news broke, in which Lisa and Jack admitted they "still love each other" and are disappointed they have been unable to make their romance work, having "tried everything" for "many years".

They went on to insist they are separating "lovingly", and on Monday, May 21, they proved they were still a team as parents as they took their daughters Pearl, six, Andy, three, and little Minnie for a stroll in Studio City, California.

"We're in this for the long haul together," Jack told TMZ.com. "We might as well make it the best we can."

And the former couple is hoping to draw inspiration for its post-divorce relationship from Coldplay frontman Chris and Oscar winner Gwyneth, who have remained close since calling time on their 10-year marriage in 2014, famously announcing their decision to separate as "conscious uncoupling".

"We're just pulling a page from Chris Martin and Gwyneth's Paltrow's book," Jack quipped.

In her divorce papers, Lisa listed the date of separation as 4 May.

She is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their three children, and has requested the TV personality, son of rock royalty Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, pay spousal support and cover her attorney's fees.
