AceShowbiz - As Ariana Grande slayed her performance of "No Tears Left to Cry" at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, most people might not notice that the singer suffered a wardrobe malfunction. While it wasn't an embarrassing one, the unfortunate mishap could cost her a lot.
The 24-year-old singer/actress took the stage at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas in a black mini dress, black over the knee platform boots by Casadei and a black ribbon in her hair, with a Djula diamond choker adorning her neck. But the massive diamond necklace, which is reportedly worth $169,000, was missing throughout the latter portion of her performance.
The necklace apparently snapped during Ariana's rousing performance. The clasp reportedly broke while the former Nickelodeon star performed the choreography with one of her backup dancers, bending backwards on the staircase while holding onto the male dancer.
Ariana continued the performance like a pro, though, completing it without any glitch. She also wore Harry Kotlar diamond studs, worth $80,000, for her performance.
Her performance at the Sunday, May 20 event aside, Ariana has reportedly found herself a new man after breaking up with Mac Miller. She has allegedly moved on by dating "Saturday Night Live" cast member Pete Davidson. A source tells PEOPLE that their relationship is "very casual."
Ariana broke up with Mac in April after dating for almost two years, while Pete recently split from his longtime girlfriend Cazzie David, the daughter of Larry David.
Mac is reportedly "heartbroken" over Ariana's alleged new romance with the funnyman and he is suspicious if Ariana dumped him to be with Pete. "Mac is heartbroken over the rumors that Ariana is dating Pete Davidson, it's tearing him apart," a source allegedly close to Mac recently told HollywoodLife.com.
"Mac feels like he put everything into their relationship, and if Ariana was cheating on him then it's like a serious slap in the face," the source added. "If it does turn out to be true, and she is with Pete, it's going to make Mac question everything he thought they had together, and if he ever really knew Ariana."
