'I've been working solidly for four and a half years, so it was nice to kind of take a moment,' the 22-year-old model says of the reason why she was absent from this year's Fashion Week shows.

AceShowbiz - Kendall Jenner's runway days are not over, despite the model's absence from this year's Fashion Week shows.

The 22-year-old is one of the hottest models in the industry, having worked with some of the world's most reputable brands, including Fendi, Balmain and Chanel.

However, to the surprise of many fashion fans, Kendall decided to trade in the most recent catwalk extravaganza in favour of some "time off," which included a snowboarding trip.

She has now assured fans that the break isn't a permanent one.

"I've been working solidly for four and a half years, so it was nice to kind of take a moment," she explained to The Sunday Times' Style magazine. "The weird part is I didn't really get Fomo (fear of missing out) - I think I was very mentally prepared that I was going to take time off. Of course, I love following the shows. It's a part of my life still, I'm not, like, gone."

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was recently announced as the face of Longchamp, and starred in a horse-themed Parisian commercial for the brand which was released on Thursday, May 17.

As well as praising the French label, Kendall also shared her love for another fashion name - Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White and artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear division.

"I really love Virgil because he's been a friend for a long time and he killed it, or he's killing it with Off-White," she gushed. "He just has a really cool thing going on right now, and he is like the homie, like literally he is part of my squad."

Virgil was chosen to dress the fashion icon out when she attended the 2018 Met Gala earlier this month, wearing a white flared off-the-shoulder jumpsuit.
