The 'Big Little Lies' actress reveals that the upcoming book is 'all about Southern living and my Southern heritage.'

AceShowbiz - Actress Reese Witherspoon is sharing her secrets to Southern living in a new lifestyle book. The "Walk the Line" star, who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, drew inspiration from the theme of Southern hospitality to launch her Draper James clothing and accessories company in 2015, and now she has collected her best pieces of advice for her latest venture, Whiskey in a Teacup.

"It's all about Southern living and my Southern heritage, and how that sort of informs pretty much everything I do, from what I eat, to how I decorate, to how I celebrate family traditions, even how I do my hair," Reese says in a new promotional video.

"My grandmother Dorothea always said that it was a combination of beauty and strength that made Southern women 'whiskey in a teacup,'" the actress adds on the book's website. "We may be delicate and ornamental on the outside, she said, but inside we're strong and fiery.

"I hope you'll see how easy it is for you to bring a little bit of the South to your home, no matter where you live. After all, there's a Southern side to every place in the world, right?"

The book is set for release in September, but it's not the only new project on the Oscar winner's plate - she has also unveiled her fresh line of home goods with U.S. retailer Crate & Barrel, for which she became a brand ambassador last year (17).

"Growing up in the South, I've learned to love presentation and entertaining, which is why I'm so excited for the Draper James Crate & Barrel co-branded collection," she tells People.com. "It perfectly captures the spirit of Southern get-togethers with a blend of modern style."

"This charming collection of outdoor accessories is perfect for your next backyard dinner party with friends and family or an afternoon picnic at the beach," she adds.

The new collection, which features items including floral-print dishes, gingham table linens, and glasses with Draper James' signature Southern phrases like, "Cheers y'all", went on sale on Tuesday, May 01.
