AceShowbiz - "Ant-Man" fans must be excited since the movie sequel, "Ant-Man and the Wasp", has released new images. Furthermore, Marvel Studios also shares the movie's new story details to fuel fans' excitement ahead of its July premiere.

Based on the pictures obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Ant-Man a.k.a. Scott Lang and the Wasp a.k.a. Hope van Dyne apparently are in a journey to a certain place. Ant-Man, wearing his superhero costume, rides a fly next to the Wasp. They fly in a hurry as if they are up to something. The second image sees them in human forms, looking at something before them with surprised looks.

The movie's new story details explain that they are in a quest to rescue Janet van Dyne, Hope's mother and scientist Hank Pym's wife, from Quantum Realm. Quantum Realm is a place where Janet disappeared decades ago. It is also a place from which Scott escaped in the first movie.

"Scott entered the Quantum Realm in the first film and came back, which is something they thought was impossible," reveals Evangeline Lilly, who portrays Hope. "The question has arisen, 'Can Janet come back?' So the entire film, my character is hell-bent on finding a way to get into the Quantum Realm and bring her back."

Following the story details, movie director Peyton Reed reveals that main villain in the movie is Ghost. Ghost is a male character in Marvel comic universe, but Peyton casts a female star as the character. "The Ghost character could be male, female, anything, so it just seemed more interesting to us [to cast a woman]," says Peyton. "Ghost's primary power is the ability to 'phase,' which allows Ghost to move through solid matter. She has all sorts of strange versions of that phasing power-it proves quite difficult for Ant-Man and Wasp to deal with."

In addition to Evangeline, "Batman Returns" actress Michelle Pfeiffer joins the cast, playing Janet. "She hasn't done one of these films since she played Catwoman with Tim Burton," Peyton says. "It was really interesting to bring her in and get her up to speed on all the mythology and her place in this world."

Paul Rudd reprises his role as Ant-Man. Joining the cast are Michael Douglas who plays the scientist, Michael Pena who portrays member of Scott's crew Luis and Hannah John-Kamen who is cast as Ghost. There are also Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip "T.I." Harris, David Dastmalchian, Laurence Fishburne, Abby Ryder Fortson and Randall Park.

Peyton directs the movie based on script penned by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Paul, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is due out on July 6 in the United States.
