After taking a social media hiatus since New Year's Eve, the songstress takes to Twitter to announce that the single will be released this Friday.

AceShowbiz - Arianators, the wait is finally over! After taking a social media hiatus since New Year's Eve, Ariana Grande finally took to Twitter on April 17 to post a cryptic tweet that seemingly announced that a new single is on its way.

She started it out with a mysterious teardrop emoji tweet, before following it up with another tweet that read, "Missed you." The songstress was not alone in sharing the cryptic tweets as her mom Joan Grande and brother Frankie Grande tweeted the same emoji. Her manager, meanwhile, tweeted, "I need to make plans for this Friday."

Fans went wild following the cryptic tweets, speculating that Ariana would release a new single soon. It appeared they were right. The "Bang Bang" hitmaker shared on Twitter the single's title, "No Tears Left to Cry", in upside down format, announcing that it would be released this Friday.

Many are overjoyed after knowing that the singer will be releasing a new single. "Ladies and gentlemen I hope you hold onto your wigs because they're about to be SNATCH," an Instagram user comments. Another writes, "You don't know how much I have waited for this."

Some others, on the other hand, write similar comments such as, "Queen! Welcome back! So stoked," "Yes! The queen is back" and "You're back, Queen!!" There are also fans who demand that Ariana should record a collaborative track with Camila Cabello.

It remains to be seen whether the new song will serve as the first single off her forthcoming album. Last year, she revealed on Snapchat that she was already putting the final touches on her fourth album.

"Oh yeah, and I'm almost done with an album... which is pretty crazy," she said as Snapchat's wide-eyed deer filter took over her face. "I didn't mean to make an album, and I don't know if it's done at all, but I just have a bunch of songs that I really like, I've just been working and creating and inspired."
