AceShowbiz - Vanessa Carlton's "One Thousand Miles" can be considered one of the catchiest songs of all time after it was featured in "White Chicks". But it appears the songstress is not happy about one particular fan of the song.
Celebrating International Women's Day, Chris Brown took to Instagram to post a clip from the song. However, Vanessa didn't appreciate it at all knowing that he was arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, she responded, "Today Chris Brown posted my video. I am now being repeatedly tagged to his account. Being that today is International Women's Day I feel compelled to draw a line."
She then touched on his assault case, calling the "Loyal" singer "perpetrators of domestic violence." The 37-year-old singer-songwriter added, "I do not want to be associated with an artist that has assaulted women on a day like today. Thank you #internationalwomensday."
Chris eventually took down his post and responded to Vanessa. However, he decided to not hit back at the singer. Instead, he wrote alongside a screenshot of Vanessa's original message, "I posted a song that was and still is a great song and the artist felt she was doing her duty as a WOMAN to continue to spread this kind of hatred today. I won't keep it up long. I just hope she knows she is loved and her song is great."
The Virginia singer then deleted his post, but later shared on the photo-sharing platform a clip of the famous "White Chicks" scene in which Terry Crews' Latrell Spencer sang the hit song to Marlon Wayans' Marcus Copeland. "If I could fall into the sky/ Do you think time would pass me by?" he sang excitedly. " 'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles/ If I could see you tonight." Chris captioned the clip, "I LOVE THIS SONG."
