The visuals, which was directed by Jake Jelicich, features the British crooner witnessing his free-spirited girlfriend leaving him for another man during their trip.

AceShowbiz - Niall Horan has dumped his guitar for a new ride in the music video for "On the Loose". The visuals, which was released on Tuesday, March 6, is the British crooner's most aesthetic music video to date.

The Jake Jelicich-directed clip opens with Niall driving through a Californian desert with a free-spirited female companion. The two later hook up, but he quickly gets jealous when he sees her dancing with other guys at the swimming pool. The end of the clip sees his girlfriend embracing someone else and Niall is there to witness it all.

"She loves when everybody's watching/ She knows the way her body moves," Niall sings while staring at his girlfriend flirting with another man. "She loves the way they all crawl back when she says/ That she loves nobody else but you."

"On the Loose" is the fourth track off "Flicker", following "Slow Hands", "This Town" and "Too Much to Ask". Niall first performed "On the Loose" at Channel 93.3's Summer Kick Off Concert at San Diego's Mattress Firm Amphitheatre on May 12, 2017.

Talking about the single in an interview with Herald Sun, Niall admitted that he channeled Fleetwood Mac for the song. "You can hear the Mac in that. Everyone's always trying to write their own dreams. I'm only 24," he said. "Fleetwood Mac is the music I've listened to since I was four years old. I listen to a lot of other types of music but that's the stuff that always stuck around with me."

"I was going through a punk rock phase when I was 15, I like punk rock now but I wouldn't pick up my iPod and go straight to it," he continued. "I'd probably go to the 'Mac and Crosby Stills and Nash and Jackson Browne and Tom Petty. They're the artists in my head, you can hear that on the album I think."
