AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton released her first single in 12 years. After sharing a bunch of teasers, including one that featured her naked, the 36-year-old hotel heiress finally unveiled sultry track "I Need You" on February 14. The song is dedicated to her fiance Chris Zylka.
The three-and-a-half-minute song finds Paris singing about someone who can't be apart from her/his lover. "Every hour of the day/ Every day of the week/ I need you," she sings. "Every week of the year/ Every year of my life/ To kiss you, to love you/ To hold you, to hug you/ I need you, I need you/ Oh, please."
"I Need You" is a follow-up to the blonde beauty's debut song "Stars Are Blind", which is the lead track off her self-titled debut album. Making its way out in June 2006, the mid-tempo reggae song received positive reviews from music critics, with Ernest Barker from Complex dubbing the track as one of the "awesome guilty songs we're ashamed to like."
The release of the track was accompanied by a music video, which featured many images of her walking and rolling around the beach with her lover. In an interview, Paris shared that shooting the music video, which was directed by Chris Applebaum, was "so much fun." She said, "I had the best time doing it, and was so proud when it came out and everyone loved it so much."
While "everyone" loved the music video, music critics didn't feel the same. In fact, it was listed as one of the 50 worst videos of all time by NME. This prompted Paris to release another version of the music video in July 2006. The visuals featured Paris trying to get the attention of her photographer. At the end of clip, she took his keys and stole his car.
