Sources close to the girl group reveal that their recent meeting served as 'rough planning' for a reunion tour in the U.S. and U.K. slated for this summer.

AceShowbiz - Spice Girls fans may be rejoicing right now. It has been reported that the girl group's recent meeting served as "rough planning" for a reunion tour in the United States and the United Kingdom slated for this summer.

Sources close to the members tell TMZ that the five-piece group will kick off their reunion tour in the U.K. before traveling to the States, though the insiders share that there is no plan for a Las Vegas residency. They've also ruled out the possibility of any new music.

The group's manager, Simon Fuller, is reportedly busy on "organizing the tour." Meanwhile, the girls are said to be busy working on "merchandising opportunities" associated with their reunion tour. Reps for Spice Girls have yet to give their response to the report.

The report comes just days after the English pop girl group announced that they would reunite following a meeting at Geri Halliwell's house in Hertfordshire, England. They took to social media to share pictures from their meeting, one of which saw the girls sitting on a couch as they posed with Fuller.

"We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together," so the girls said in a statement regarding their meeting. They added that they were overwhelmed "at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls."

They went on expressing how the time felt right to "explore some incredible new opportunities together." They continued, "We all agree there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

Following the announcement, an insider told The Sun that their reunion might include "TV projects in China, a new telly talent show, endorsement deals and a compilation album celebrating their greatest hits."
