AceShowbiz - A week after the release of "I'm in Love with Someone Else", Suzy released her mini album "Faces of Love" on January 29. Along with the album, the songstress also treated her fans to a music video for one of the tracks, "Holiday".
The four-minute visuals, which was filmed in California and New Mexico, finds Suzy exploring various tropical locations in retro-inspired outfits as she sings about how her love is like a vacation place. "Today is holiday/ I'll be in your arms/ All my strength is gone/ You're my only resting place," she sings. "Just today, all day/ I'm holding you all day/ Come here for my sweetest holiday."
In an interview with Billboard, the 23-year-old South Korean beauty hoped that her fans could "feel the joy of the sweet vacation and taking a break from their ordinary routine" while listening to the soft track. She also shared that the filming was so fun that she forgot she was actually filming a music video.
"Every location of the music video was so beautiful and peaceful, despite the tight schedule," she remarked. "Wandering around several beautiful places, I myself sometimes forgot about the fact that is a music shooting as if I was enjoying a vacation."
In support of her new album, Suzy held a showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul on the same day of the release of "Faces of Love". While the showcase was supposed to be an enjoyable event, reporters who attended the event were left disappointed as Suzy gave irrelevant answers to some questions such as her breakup with Lee Min Ho and Miss A's disbandment.
This led the reporters to criticize her lack of professionalism and write headlines like "Suzy, the press will not bite or harm you" and "Was love too difficult for 25-year-old Suzy.... An embarassing comeback show."
