AceShowbiz - A year after Migos was slammed by the LGBTQ community for their controversial comment on I LOVE MAKONNEN's coming out announcement, member Offset faces backlash over similar issue. The Migos member was featured on YFN Lucci's track "Boss Life", and people caught wind of his inappropriate lyrics.
"Pinky ring crystal clear, 40k spent on a private Lear/ 60k solitaire/ I cannot vibe with queers," so he raps. Many Twitter users were not pleased and quickly lambasted the rapper for his foul choice of lyrics. An enraged Twitter user wrote, "Don't he know that most of the things in fashion that he wear is designs by gay men." Another echoed the remark, " 'I cannot vibe with queers,' but your whole style is inspired by them. He sucks."

Following the heavy backlash, Offset took to Instagram on Thursday, January 18 to issue an apology along with a picture of a Google definition of the word "Queer." He began his caption, "I didn't write the line about gay people. I have said before since these issues before that I got love for all people. My passion for fashion has lead me to a lot gay people around me who I have mad respect for and we are very cool so I'm not in a place where I'm hating like that."
He then explained that the definition of the word that he saw on Google "fit what I was thinking about a stalker creepy paparazzi situation." He added that he didn't mean the word as "someone who's gay. I mean lame people who film you, post it and stalk you. Lingo that means strange or odd. I M S O R R Y I A P O L O G I Z E I'm offended I offended anybody."
Even after he apologized, negative responses continued. One Twitter user even tweeted to his fiancee Cardi B, "You deserves someone better than Offset." In a since-deleted tweet, Cardi stood up for Offset and replied, "Don't tell me about who I deserve with him or not you don't know how he matured me, before I bet him I ain't had a lawyer, business management & I was insecure about my music he gave me confidence & help me get my business situated."
