AceShowbiz - After a meteoric rise to face, The Chainsmokers is back with their first new song of 2018. This time though, the EDM-pop duo has abandoned their romantic hits like "Closer" and "Paris" and decided to take a darker direction with "Sick Boy". The track was debuted on January 17 along with its accompanying music video.

The music video features Alex Pall playing a piano in an abandoned warehouse along with Andrew Taggart, who mans the mic as he rhymes about self-identity in today's world. "And I'm from the East side of America/ Where we desensitize by hysteria," Andrew sings over the dramatic piano chords. "I live on the West side of America/ Where they spin lies into fairy dust."

The Chainsmokers hinted that they were working on "Sick Boy" during an interview with KISS FM Phoenix back in May last year. When asked to share a glimpse of the song, Andrew revealed a line of the song, "They say that I'm a sick boy." They also described the track as being "angrier" and "darker" than their Coldplay-assisted hit "Something Just Like This".

While the New York City-based duo hasn't announced any plans to release an album, fans are still waiting for their rumored collaboration with Bangtan Boys a.k.a BTS. Last year, The Korea Herald reported that Andrew worked with the South Korean boyband's rappers Rap Monster, Suga and J-Hope. The track reportedly was titled "Best of Me".

His music aside, Alex was recently caught cheating by his girlfriend. Tori Woodward shared on Instagram Stories two pictures taken from CCTV video showing Alex kissing another woman. She captioned one of the snaps, "Alex is disgusting. Men are trash. Don't ever forget it." Tori wrote in the other snap, "They'll look you in the eyes and tell you they love you. Then destroy you without a second thought."

Alex has yet to respond to his infidelity news.
