Many social media users take a jab at the mother of four, saying that they are 'absolutely disgusted at the model' and accusing her of promoting eating disorders.

AceShowbiz - Victoria Adams a.k.a Victoria Beckham has sparked outrage on social media. The former Spice Girls member recently announced on social media her new eyewear collection, but fans were not pleased by the fact that the mother of four used an ultra-slim model to promote her new products.

One of the snaps featured the model, whose name is Giedre Dukauskaite, teaming up the eyewear with a golden satin shirt and pink pants. The other picture saw the 29-year-old model posing sideways to show design of the eyewear.

"Back to work!" so Victoria captioned the pictures. "Start the year with new frames from the Spring Summer 2018 #VBEyewear collection inspired by 1970s retro classics and updated for a feathery-light, fresh and modern look."

Responding to her post, many on Twitter slammed Victoria for using the model, saying that they were "absolutely disgusted." A Twitter user wrote, "I really think you need to address the issues that have arisen from your use of 'anorexic' looking models. Please change the size of model you are using this is such an unhealthy and unrealistic example to impressionable young women out there. It's time to change the narrative!"

"Have to say I'm absolutely disgusted at the model used. This awful trend of stick thin models really needs to stop," another wrote. One other tweeted, "We love you VB, but please use your global influence by using healthy looking women to advertise your products."

Things weren't looking very good on Facebook either. Many accused the fashion designer of promoting eating disorders. A user wrote in the comment section, "[I] didn't even notice the glasses. The model was the focus. Sickly skinny! Beckham should be ashamed promoting eating disorders. Her young daughter is heavier than her models. Shame."

"This image is why my already tiny daughter thinks she needs to eat less," another commented. One other complained, "Victoria I adore you, but with the exorbitant prices you charge for [your] clothing couldn't you at least buy this model a sandwich for god's sake?"
