'It was a false alarm, but a real psychic warning,' so he tells his Twitter followers after explaining that he thought he was about to die.

AceShowbiz - Jim Carrey was among thousands in Hawaii to think that they were about to die when a false alarm warned that a ballistic missile was about to hit the island. The traumatizing alarm was sent to phone and put on local television networks on Saturday morning, January 13.

"Emergency Alert: BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII," so the message read. "SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL." Thousands of people in Hawaii were thrown into panic and confusion because of that, but it was later confirmed that the alarm was a result of an employee's mistake.

Following that, Carrey took to Twitter to share that he feared for his life at the time. "I woke up this morning in Hawaii with ten minutes to live," he told his 17 million followers. "It was a false alarm, but a real psychic warning. If we allow this one-man Gomorrah and his corrupt Republican congress to continue alienating the world we are headed for suffering beyond all imagination."

Carrey was not the only celebrity who thought that he was about to die at the time. Diana Ross stated that she immediately took a shelter after receiving the alarm. "We had to evacuate. We were very frightened. We went to the basement of the hotel. But we were very positive, and we were so happy to come home," she told TMZ.

Other celebrities such as Judd Apatow and Montel Williams, on the other hand, appeared to take a jab at President Donald Trump for his lack of response to the false alarm. "Great to know the button saying there is a nuclear war is right next to the one saying this is a test," Apatow tweeted. "This is a load of bulls**t. This is not what happened. Keep digging. This isn't about a f***ing shift change."

Williams wrote on his Twitter account, "Anyone else wondering why the hell @realDonaldTrump didn't tweet about this morning's false alarm in Hawaii? To busy with golfing or doesn't since it's not about him?"
