The 37-year-old reality TV star takes to social media to reveal that she had a 'challenging' end of 2017 as she watched her 2-year-old battle pneumonia at a hospital for 'three nights.'

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian may have had a "challenging" end of 2017 as she watched her 2-year-old son, Saint West, battle pneumonia. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, January 2 to reveal that her son spent a few nights at a hospital battling pneumonia.

Sharing a black-and-white photo of her and Saint, Kim began writing "My precious baby boy is so strong!" The 37-year-old reality TV star shared, "After spending three nights in the hospital & seeing my baby get multiple IV's and hooked up to oxygen machines, our end of year was challenging. Pneumonia is so scary."

Kim went on saying that her son "is home and all better" now, thanking the doctors who helped her get through her "challenging" time. "I just want to thank every nurse & doctor out there who works so hard around the clock. We are so grateful for you all!" she said. "He's home and all better. He's so resilient I'm sure he will still say the ambulance ride was cool! My strong Saint."

On Tuesday morning, TMZ reported that Kim and Kanye West's younger child was hospitalized with pneumonia last week. It appeared the little boy was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday as he was said to have been released on Saturday.

Kim and Kanye are also parents to 4-year-old daughter North West. The couple, who tied the knot in May 2014, is expecting their third child via surrogate this year.

The blonde beauty accidentally revealed the sex of her unborn baby when appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" back in November. She was talking about her cherry blossom-themed baby shower when she inadvertently let slip the baby's gender.

"People brought toys and gifts and she was opening them all up the next day and she said, 'Mom, since baby sister's not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room and I'll play with them and just make sure they're all okay for baby sister,' " Kim told host Ellen DeGeneres at the time.

A beaming Ellen responded, "She's a toy tester... and you just told us it's a girl." Realizing that she just let slip the baby's sex, Kim smiled and confirmed that her unborn baby is a girl. She told Ellen, "North is really excited about that," adding it was "a little trickier" when she's pregnant with Saint.
