The New York-born songstress recently made history when her seasonal hit 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' finally hit Billboard's Hot 100's top 10, 23 years after its reelease.

AceShowbiz - Throughout her career, Mariah Carey has released a lot of hit songs such as "We Belong Together", "I Don't Wanna Cry" and her super famous carol "All I Want for Christmas Is You". The seasonal hit recently made history when it finally hit Billboard's Hot 100's top 10 for the first time after 23 years since its release.

Hearing the news, Mariah shared her excitement to Billboard, saying that the achievement was "such an amazing Christmas gift! As a songwriter, I feel so honored to have this song reach Billboard's top 10 for the first time."

"I honestly never thought we'd be talking about this happening, but I'm so thankful to everyone who embraces this song as part of their holiday tradition," she continued. "It truly warms my heart, and I'm proud of this song that I wrote basically as a kid on my little Casio keyboard."

"All I Want for Christmas Is You" was released back in 1994, serving as the lead single off her first holiday album "Merry Christmas". Talking about the song in a recent interview, she recalled that filming for the music video for the song actually caused damage to her hair. "I was actually in the snow, that's not something that was created," Mariah shared. "It was freezing in that one-piece ensemble. My hair was frozen -- and I remember it like it was yesterday."

Her recent achievement doesn't made her slow down her pace. Mariah is set to travel across Australia and New Zealand next year for her "The Number One" tour. The tour was supposed to kick off in February, but she re-scheduled it to October due to "a necessary re-alignment of her international engagements for 2018." According to reps for the songstress, Mariah will belt out her hit songs such as "Hero", "One Sweer Day" and "Fantasy".
