The album, which debuted atop Billboard 200, made the rapper climb from No. 37 to the top spot on the chart.

AceShowbiz - Eminem is closing this year on a strong note. Just days after making history on Billboard 200 chart, the Detroit rapper took the top spot on Billboard's Artist 100 for the first time ever. His achievement this time was all thanks to his latest effort "Revival".

The album, which debuted atop Billboard 200 with 267,000 units, catapulted Em from No. 37 last week to the top spot on the chart. The sales of the album was not the only thing that influenced his rank. The rapper also managed to chart three songs off the effort on Billboard Hot 100. They are "River" featuring Ed Sheeran, "Walk on Water" featuring Beyonce Knowles and "Believe".

Aside from Em, only four rappers hit the top spot on the chart this year. They are Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Future.

"Revival" was released on December 15 through Interscope Records. Talking to Elton John, he revealed that he took a year to finish the effort. "You know how it is -- you make songs, and as you make the new ones, the old ones get old and you threw them out," he shared. "The album is a reflection of where I'm right now, but I also feel like what I tried to do was diversity. I've tried to make a little something of everyone."

Last week, the rapper unleashed visuals for the lead track "Walk on Water". Even though Bey was nowhere to be found in the clip, viewers still got to see Em getting stressed over writing lyrics in a room full of his look-alikes.

Speaking up about his collaboration with Bey, Em revealed in a recent interview that he had always wanted to collab with the diva. "It's been on my wish list for a long time," he said. "But I never really had a song that I felt like would be right to present to her. So, I was kinda' waitin'."
