The official first trailer for the upcoming movie sees Bullock's Debbie Ocean assembling her team to steal Hathaway's Daphne Kluger's $150 million diamond necklace at the Met Gala.

AceShowbiz - The first full trailer for "Ocean's 8" is finally here, and it pits Sandra Bullock's Debbie Ocean's team against Anne Hathaway's Daphne Kluger. It's unclear if Daphne is part of the titular team or their foe, but the approximately one-and-a-half-minute video shows Debbie assembling her crew to steal Daphne's $150 million diamond necklace at the annual Met Gala in New York City.

The trailer opens with Debbie, wearing an orange prison suit, sitting at a table in a bleak-looking room. Looking innocent, she talks to someone off camera, insisting that she will not do bad things anymore. "It was a mistake," she tells the man. "But it happened and, um, if I were to be released I would just want the simple life."

"I just wanna hold down a job make some friends, yeah, pay my bills," she continues, as shots of pricey gems and women in glam dresses at the Met Gala flicker on the screen.

But in contrast to what she has said to the man, Debbie is next seen sitting in a restaurant with Cate Blanchett's Lou, discussing their plan to rob the Met Gala. When blonde Lou tells her she needs "20 people" for their heist, Debbie looks amused and confidently says, "7 people." The two beauties then can be seen assembling their team that includes Nine Ball (Rihanna), Amita (Mindy Kaling), Constance (Awkwafina), Rose (Helena Bonham Carter) and Tammy (Sarah Paulson).

Once her team is complete, Debbie holds a meeting with them, telling them they're going to rob the Met Gala. "Not the ball itself but on the neck of Daphne Kruger," she adds.

Fans can know whether Daphne is a victim or part of the plot when "Ocean's 8" hits theaters across the nation on June 8 next year. Directed by Gary Ross from a script he co-wrote with Olivia Milch, the film also stars Matt Damon, who is reprising his role as Linus Caldwell from the original "Ocean's" trilogy.

Among big names making cameo appearances in the upcoming film are Anna Wintour, Alexander Wang, Kim Kardashian, Zayn Malik, Kendall Jenner and Katie Holmes, though none of them are seen in the first full trailer.
