Multiple sources state that the 'End of a Day' singer's solo comeback will have a bright concept and that they don't suspect anything odd about him.

AceShowbiz - The death of Jonghyun, the lead vocalist of South Korean group SHINee, shocked the whole K-pop industry. Following the news of his sudden death, it has been revealed that the 27-year-old singer had been working hard to prepare for his solo comeback.

Jonghyun reportedly had filmed the music video for his solo track and even had done a photo shoot for the album's cover art on December 12, 14 and 15, just days before his death. An insider stated that the album would have a bright concept of "Jonghyun who loves music. I didn't suspect anything odd about him while we were working together."

Another insider, who worked with the singer on the set of the music video, similarly said that his new song "had a bright vibe. He seemed the same as usual on the music video set. I couldn't feel at all that he was struggling all this time." A third insider noted, "It's unbelievable because he was working on his new song.."

The "So Goodbye" singer was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious in a residential hotel. A medical team performed CPR on him, but he was unable to be revived and was pronounced dead. His label, SM Entertainment, confirmed the news in a statement.

"It is devastating to deliver such sad news to the fans who gave him great love. We ask you to refrain from making rumors or assumption based reports in respect of his family who are in deep sorrow from the sudden news," so the statement read. "As his family wished, his funeral will be carried out in the quietest manner with his family members and co-workers. Once again, we offer our deepest condolence."

After the news broke, Jonghyun's solo tracks such as "End of a Day", "Let Me Out" and "Lonely" featuring Girls' Generation's Taeyeon quickly top various domestic music charts. Additionally, Lee Hi's "Breathe", which was written by the late singer, is climbing up the charts again.
