Movie

Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire and Pratt's Owen return to Isla Nublar to save dinosaurs from extinction when a volcano erupts.

AceShowbiz - The first official trailer for "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" is here! After previewed in several teasers, the full-length video gives a look at Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing's (Bryce Dallas Howard) attempt to save dinosaurs from extinction.

The trailer hints at Claire and Owen's strained relationship before the former recruits the latter for the mission. An initially reluctant Owen eventually joins her as Claire reminds him that Blue, one of the raptors that he raised, is alive somewhere on Isla Nublar.

As Owen and Claire return to the abandoned island, their struggle to save the dinosaurs from volcano eruption while at the same time trying not to get themselves killed by the wild animals begins. At one point, Owen finally meets Blue again, but it's hard to tell if the raptor still recognizes him or not.

Meanwhile, Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm is seen giving a warning, "These creatures were here before us....and if we're not careful, they're going to be here after."

According to the official description of the movie, "it's been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles."

"When the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who's still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times."

"With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs-along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'."

Sharing another detail of the film, Howard previously told EW, "Claire's founded an organization, Dinosaur Protection Group, and they're finding a way to get these dinosaurs off the island. She reaches out to Owen Grady to let him know this is happening."

Directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, it also stars B.D. Wong who reprises his role as Dr. Henry Wu, with James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda taking on new roles. The "Jurassic World" sequel is heading into theaters across the nation on June 22, 2018.
