While she manages to get back onto her feet and smiles after taking a tumble on the runway, the Chinese model suddenly breaks into tears backstage.

AceShowbiz - Chinese model Ming Xi infamously took a tumble during 2017 Victoria's Secret fashion show which was filmed at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China on November 20. As the event was finally aired on Tuesday, November 28, behind-the-scenes moment revealed what happened after Ming Xi's epic fall.
Ming Xi stumbled on the runway as she modeled one of the brand's lingerie. It appeared that her flowing, sheer ensemble got tangled in her heels and she took a surprising spill. It took her a few seconds before she could regain her balance and get back onto her feet.
She managed to handle the situation like a pro, though, keeping a smile on her face while slowly getting up and adjusting her hair and wings. Fellow model Gizele Oliveira, who walked behind her, was going to lend Ming Xi a helping hand but the latter had regained her posture.
Oliveira gestured to let Ming Xi continue walking ahead of her as she and the audience applauded for her. She finished the lap as if nothing had happened and walked gracefully backstage.
Behind the scenes, however, it was a completely different story. As soon as she got away from the prying eyes of the audience, Ming Xi couldn't contain her emotion and burst into tears over the embarrassing moment. She was then comforted by other models, including Lily Aldridge who warmly embraced her. "It's OK, don't worry," Aldridge told Ming Xi as she hugged her. "You're so beautiful, and you looked so beautiful at the end."
Leslie Odom Jr., who performed live while Ming Xi and other models walked the runway, also offered some words of comfort. "It happens to the best of 'em," the "Hamilton" star told the cameras. "Sometimes we fall, but we get back up. Fall down seven times, get up eight!"
"Ming was really upset when she fell on the runway. It was a hard fall," a source told E! News at the time of the fall. "She got up as gracefully as she could. She was shaken up after that fall. All the models made her feel better after though. She is OK now."
The 28-year-old beauty then took to Instagram to address the fall. "As many of you may already know, I fell during my 5th year walking at the Victoria's Secret show yesterday," she wrote. "It was no doubt one of the hardest moments I have ever had to go through in my career, especially since the show was taking place in my hometown, in front of my mother's and my people's eyes. However, the support I received from everyone yesterday was incredible and I am truly grateful to everyone who was there for me."
