Ryan Dorsey speaks out after her arrest for alleged domestic battery as audio of his 911 call reveals that his wife Naya was drinking and out of control before the altercation.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Dorsey has broken his silence after Naya Rivera was arrested for allegedly assaulting him in West Virginia. In a statement posted on Twitter on Tuesday, November 28, Ryan said, "This is a difficult time for everyone in the family especially for Naya and I."

He asked everyone to respect their privacy. "This isn't some reality show, this is our life," he continued, "and I ask that everyone especially 'the media' please respect our privacy and treat us/this situation how you would want a loved one to be treated. Perhaps with kindness, respect, without judgment, and as negative a situation this is, with positivity and love. Thanks. -RD."

At around the same time, the audio of Ryan's 911 call surfaced. Obtained by TMZ, the audio reveals that Naya was drinking and out of control before "getting physical" with her husband. "I just need a police officer. My wife's out of control," Ryan said in his call to police.

The 34-year-old said that his father was also present, but did not mention that she was acting violent with his father. The call dropped before the operator can get more info.

Police were then dispatched to the scene and Naya was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery, after her husband provided evidence that supported his claim that she struck his head and bottom lip. A field sobriety test did not occur, but a media relations officer for the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office told PEOPLE that the officer believed that the former "Glee" star was intoxicated.

The couple was reportedly arguing over their child and the altercation happened when they were taking their child for a walk down the street. The 30-year-old actress was arraigned and released on $ 1,000 bond. She was picked up by her father-in-law. They were in West Virginia to spend Thanksgiving with Ryan's family.

Following the arrest, a source tells E! News, "Naya's friends and family are very concerned for her well-being." The source adds, "This is not the first time that their relationship has been violent, and the fact that she hit her husband and lashed out like that, is very scary to everyone around her."
