Despite being sidelined during the promotions of the group's latest album due to the controversy surrounding his family's dog, Siwon will participate in SuJu's upcoming concert.

AceShowbiz - Choi Siwon will be back for Super Junior's upcoming concert. The 31-year-old singer/actor will join his group mates at the three-day concert in December called "Super Junior's World Tour - Super Show 7" despite being absent from the group's promotions for their latest album "PLAY" due to the controversy surrounding his family's dog.

On Tuesday, November 28, Label SJ said, "We debated Choi Siwon’s participation in the concert up until the very end. However, because [the concert] had been planned many months ago, it was a situation where making adjustments was virtually impossible."

The agency also explained why it had been possible for Siwon to sit out the broadcast promotions but not the concert, "At the time, we were still in the midst of discussions for television show appearances, so we were able to respect [Siwon's] wishes and make adjustments."

"Super Show 7" will take place from December 15 to December 17 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. The concert marks Super Junior's first solo concert since 2015. Tickets for the concert, which was initially scheduled for December 16 and 17, sold out within minutes, leading them to decide to add another date, which is on December 15 at 8 P.M. KST.

Siwon, who was discharged from mandatory military service in August, had filmed a music video for Super Junior's comeback song "Black Suit" and his new drama series "Revolutionary Love" before his family dog bit and caused the death of a neighbor. He and his family received criticism as they failed to properly restrain the dog.

A representative from Super Junior's label Label SJ stated at the time, "Choi Siwon will regrettably not be participating in Super Junior's broadcast promotion when they make a comeback on November 6 with their 8th album 'Play'. We sincerely apologize to fans and also ask for their support towards Super Junior."

Since then, Lee Donghae, Eunhyuk, Kim Heechul, Leeteuk, Shindong and Yesung have appeared on various TV shows to promote their new album as a six piece.
