Besides changing the lyrics to Spanish, the track also includes new verses about Cuba's freedom, which is sung by Daddy Yankee.

AceShowbiz - Camila Cabello was able to surprise her fans by unleashing a remix to her hit song "Havana" featuring Daddy Yankee. The release came following her appearance at MTV Europe Music Awards, which was held on November 12.

The funky Spanglish version features the former Fifth Harmony member changing her lyrics to Spanish, while Daddy adds his signature rap, where he talks about Cuba's freedom and references a famous saying about the Island and Puerto Rico being two wings of the same bird. "We arrive at the mambo, beat the drum for me," he spits his lines. "So that you remember of Havana and the field/ The freedom that you know well/ When will you return? Only God knows."

"Havana" is the second track off her upcoming album "The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.", which is set to be released in early next year. Following the release of the song, it quickly soars from No. 7 to No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking her new career best. She previously peaked at No. 4 as a solo artist with "Bad Things", a collaborative track with Machine Gun Kelly. As a member of Fifth Harmony, she also peaked at No. 4 with "Work From Home".

Knowing the success of the track, Camila stated that she wasn't too affected by it. She added that her main focus was to make sure that her songs, album or performances were something that she could look back on and be proud of.

Not only the song, but the music video of "Havana" also became the talk of the town as the singer played two different characters in the clip. Replying to a fan's question on Twitter, the 20-year-old singer said that both characters represent two parts of her personality.

"Karla and Camila represent two parts of my personality, but Karla in the movie is who I really am and always have been," she wrote. LeJuan James, the actor who plays her grandmother in the clip, said similar thing. "The persona Camila plays in the video, it's really who she is," he told MTV News.
