Global Road Entertainment unveils new details and official first picture of 'Lying and Stealing', an upcoming crime drama starring Theo James and Emily Ratajkowski.

AceShowbiz - New details and official first still of Matt Aselton's "Lying and Stealing" are revealed by Global Road Entertainment. The image features two main actors of the film, Theo James, famous for his roles in the "Divergent" franchise, "The Secret Scripture" and "War on Everyone", and Emily Ratajkowski, who is known for her part in "Gone Girl" and "Entourage".

Other than James and Ratajkowski, "Lying and Stealing" stars Fred Melamed from "A Serious Man", Ebon Moss-Bachrach from "Girls", Isiah Whitlock Jr. from "Chi-Raq", Evan Handler from "Sex and the City" and John Gatins from "Real Steel".

The romantic heist thriller follows the story of Ivan, played by James, a suave, young thief whose specialty is infiltrating and stealing high-end, luxury art from L.A. collectors. It's a dirty business, and business is good, but Ivan wants out. Elyse, played by Ratajkowski, is an aspiring actress with a closet full of skeletons and a mountain of financial obligation. The two hustlers, drawn to each other, decide to team up for one last, big, daring heist in high-end L.A. universe. With money, imprisonment and lives on the line, their escapade tests their explosive love story and loyalty in this mind-racing film set in contemporary Los Angeles.

The film began its principal photography in Los Angeles this week. The film is co-written by Aselton and Adam Nagata, an actor and writer known for his work in "Gigantic". "Lying and Stealing" is produced by Aselton, Michael Costigan from "Ghost in the Shell", Naomi Despres from "Kill the Messenger" and Mohamed AlRafi from "Above Suspicion". James is not only starring in this movie, but also serving as the executive producer of the film. Global Road Entertainment, formally IM Global, is handling international rights to the film at AFM with UTA Independent Film representing North American rights.

The film's release date remains unknown, but it could schedule its rollout as early as 2018 in U.S. cinemas.
