The Netflix politically-charged drama series has reportedly shut down production after people were gunned down in a nearby business park.

AceShowbiz - "House of Cards" set in Maryland was reportedly on lockdown. According to reports, the show has shut down production following nearby shooting. Five people were reportedly shot in a business park. Three were dead and two others were in critical condition.

Some schools in the area were also on lockdown. The suspect identified as Radee Prince is still on the loose. Police has released a picture of the gunman while continuing their search. The shooter allegedly targeted a business called Advanced Granite Solutions in Edgewood. All the victims were employees of the company.

"There's an individual out there on the loose who's committed one of the most heinous acts in our county, we certainly consider him armed and dangerous," Harford County sheriff Jeffrey Gahler confirmed it in a statement.

"House of Cards" executive producer Dana Brunetti wrote on Facebook, "Shooting near House of Cards set. I turn on the news to see what is happening, and guess what they're covering? Not the 5 dead and 3 wounded while gunman is still on the loose."

The producer continued, "CNN asked me to come on air the other day to talk about House of Cards and Russia, and today there is an ongoing active shooter near the House of Cards stage and ZERO coverage. They're going nonstop of Sessions and Trump! WTF?!"

Despite reports that the set was placed on lockdown, Netflix assured that the production wouldn't be impacted. "There's an individual out there on the loose who's committed one of the most heinous acts in our county, we certainly consider him armed and dangerous," the streaming giant stated.

"House of Cards" is entering its sixth season. The production is expected to begin this month. Kevin Spacey will return as Congressman Frank Underwood and Robin Wright as his wife and aide Claire.
