AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles has released an inspiring video for "Freedom" in honor of International Day of the Girl. Shared on her Facebook page on Wednesday, October 11, the visuals featured young girls from around the world lip-syncing and dancing to her 2016 song from "Lemonade".

"Today is #DayoftheGirl," so the Grammy-winning singer wrote along with the video. She added, "Girls around the world are fighting for their freedom every day. Join me, Chime for Change and The Global Goals by taking action for #FreedomForGirls now: www.globalgoals.org/dayofthegirl."

Chime for Change and The Global Goals co-produced the clip, which outlined the challenges related to health, education and violence. The over-2-minute visuals revealed a series of shocking statistics, from a girl dying as a result of violence every five minutes to girls being twice as likely to become infected with HIV.

The video ended by challenging viewers to aid in tackling a series of "global goals" by the year 2030: ending child marriage, putting all girls in school, ending the AIDS epidemic and ending all forms of violence toward girls. In addition, the clip asked viewers to "share the film and tell us what #freedomforgirls is to you."

Beyonce sharing the inspiring video came after she sang on the hit "Mi Gente" remix, for which she pledged all of her proceeds from the project to "hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands." The dancey track also marked the 35-year-old songstress' first song since giving birth to her twins in June.

The mother of three is known for her involvement in philanthropic effort. She previously donated her money and time to various causes like Black Lives Matter, the Flint Water Crisis and more. She was even named the most charitable celebrity in 2016 by DoSomething.org for all her humanitarian efforts.
