AceShowbiz - The first full trailer for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is here! The approximately 2-and-a-half-minute video, which was debuted on Monday night, October 9 during halftime in Monday Night Football, shows things getting intense and emotional as well as teases Rey's (Daisy Ridley) turn to the dark side.

The trailer opens with Snoke (Andy Serkis) saying in voiceover, "When I found you I saw raw untamed power, and beyond that ... something truly special," as viewers are treated to a scene in which Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), his apparent apprentice and fellow Dark Side acolyte, can be seen arming himself.

The trailer then jumps to a scene where Rey is seen wielding a lightsaber. She then gives Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) his. After Luke watches Rey's Force power crack the stone ground of their Jedi-sacred island, he says, "I've seen this raw strength only once before. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now," while looking frightened.

There's also a glimpse of Kylo Ren deciding whether or not to fire bombs into the starship where his mother, Leia (Carrie Fisher), is in. "Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to," he says. He can also be seen with Rey, presumably in the middle of a fight. He offers his hand after Rey says to him, "I need someone to show me my place in all this."

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is scheduled to arrive in theaters across the nation on December 15, just in time for this year's Christmas. Having taken her first steps into a larger world in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the saga.

Written and directed by Ryan Johnson, the film also sees the return of John Boyega as Finn, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma and Anthony Daniels as the voice of C-3PO. They are joined by Laura Dern, Billie Lourd, Kelly Marie Tran, Warwick Davis and Benicio Del Toro among others.
