After the former wrestler confirmed that he would be starring in the spin-off film along with Jason Statham, the Roman Pearce depicter slams him and accuses him of '[breaking] up the fast family.'

AceShowbiz - Tyrese Gibson is definitely not happy with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's decision to sign on a spin-off of "Fast and Furious". After the wrestler-turned-actor confirmed on Twitter that he would be starring in the spin-off along with Jason Statham, the Roman Pearce depicter slammed him and accused him of "[breaking] up the fast family."

The Rock first told his online followers that "my goal from day 1 was to come in and create an exciting/fun character for the fans, elevate the franchise and build it out," adding a link to news of his upcoming solo film getting a release date. Universal has set the film to open in the U.S. on July 26, 2019.

The 45-year-old muscled actor followed up the Friday, October 6 post with several tweets, one of which read, "Yes you did. Thank you brother! Me and Statham are fired up to make our movie. And I predict you're a future @UFC champion. Hard work pays."

Tyrese, who has been calling out The Rock on Instagram lately for delaying the release of "Fast and Furious 9", retweeted The Rock's posts and wrote, "the real selfish #CandyA** revealed and why you on twitter..???? You lost my number right? I'm at you when I see you," adding the hashtag #Family.

Tyrese continued in another post, "you still promoting a movie that no one wants to see made you clown FOH." The 38-year-old added, "He's on twitter and won't hit my cell @TheRock this is the people's champ? #ShawHobbsEpicFailure you came here to break up the fast family."

It's believed that Universal has pushed back the release of "Fast 9" by a year to focus on the untitled Fast and Furious spin-off. The ninth installment of the action movie series is now scheduled to arrive on April 10, 2020. And Tyrese put the blame on The Rock for holding up the production on "Fast 9".

"#PSA Congratulations to @TheRock and your bother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and furious franchise about YOU - And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post - Gn folks see you in 2020 April," Tyrese wrote on Instagram earlier this week.

"#FastFamily right? Nah..... It's about #TeamDwayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I'm just a passionate film critic," he added.
