In the wake of the tragedy that killed more than 59 people, the 'Big Green Tractor' hitmaker has canceled three upcoming shows scheduled for this weekend.

AceShowbiz - Jason Aldean has canceled his upcoming shows in the wake of mass shooting in Las Vegas. The country music star announced on Tuesday, October 3 that his three concert dates scheduled for this weekend had been scrapped.

The canceled shows include the October 6 gig at The Forum in Los Angeles, the October 7 show at Mattress Firm Amphiteater in San Diego, and the October 8 show at Honda Center in Anaheim. The concerts are part of his "They Don't Know" Tour.

Aldean said in a statement about his decision, "As a result of what happened in Las Vegas this week, we have decided to cancel this coming weekend's shows. I feel like out of respect for the victims, their families and our fans, it is the right thing to do. It has been an emotional time for everyone involved this week, so we plan to take some time to mourn the ones we have lost and be close with our family and friends."

"Our plan is to resume the tour the following week in Tulsa, Oklahoma," he continued. "Our first time back onstage will be a very tough and emotional thing for us, but we will all get through it together and honor the people we lost by doing the only thing we know how to do - play our songs for them. I hope everyone understands why we can't play this weekend and I'm sorry if anyone is disappointed."

He added, "I want to say thank you for the outpouring of love from my friends and fans we have received over the last couple days. You guys have no idea how much you have helped get us through this tough time. Thank You and God Bless, JA."

Aldean, who was in the middle of performing his song "When She Says Baby" at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when the gunman opened fire on the crowd from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, also posted an emotional message on Twitter.

"Over the last 24 hrs I have gone through lots of emotions. Scared, Anger, Heartache, Compassion and many others," he wrote. "Something has changed in this country and in this world lately that is scary to see. This world is becoming the kind of place I am afraid to raise my children in."

He continued, "At the end of the day we aren't Democrats or Republicans, Whites or Blacks, Men or Women. We are all humans and we are all Americans and it's time to start acting like it and stand together as ONE!"

The "Don't You Wanna Stay" crooner also sent his prayer to the victims and their families, "I am so sorry for the hurt and pain everyone is feeling right now and there are no words I can say to to take that pain away. Just know u all are in my heart and prayers as we all go through this together."

Meanwhile, the Route 91 Harvest Festival organizers have released a statement on the tragedy. "On behalf of the entire Route 91 Harvest Family, we are completely devastated by the event that occurred last night," O'Connell, president of country music touring at Live Nation, said.

"Our deepest sympathies go out to the injured and the deceased and their loved ones. Senseless violence has claimed the souls of our fans and we have little in the way of answers," he added. O'Connell also thanked the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, emergency services, security guards and fans "for their selfless acts of bravery while trying to help those in need."

The statement ended with a strong message, "We will NOT let hate win over LOVE. We will NOT be defeated by senseless violence. We WILL persevere, and honor the souls that were lost. Because it matters."
