The Samantha Jones depicter shuts down rumors suggesting that she was being difficult when asked to reprise her role in a third movie.

AceShowbiz - Kim Cattrall broke her silence on the rumors surrounding "Sex and the City 3". The 61-year-old actress who is known for her role as Samantha Jones in the franchise took it to Twitter to set the record straight on the internet chatters suggesting that the movie was killed off due to her outrageous demands.

Cattrall reportedly would agree to return to the franchise only if the studio, Warner Brothers, was willing to produce other movies she had in development. She admitted that she didn't want to do a threequel but denied being a diva, "Woke 2 a @MailOnline [poop emoji] storm! The only 'DEMAND' I ever made was that I didn't want to do a 3rd film....& that was back in 2016."

She didn't explain why she wasn't too fond of doing another movie, but she told PEOPLE earlier this year that she was reluctant to reprise her role in the third installment because "there's nothing concrete. There's no script, there's no idea." She elaborated, "The hardest thing is, what would the story be? It's been seven, eight years since we wrapped the last movie. Can we get everybody together? We're all sort of scattered now. Are we still relevant?"

Rumor has it, "SATC 3" was supposed to kick off production this fall. Sarah Jessica Parker, 52, Kristin Davis, also 52, and Cynthia Nixon, 51, reportedly were all signed on for the film before it was shut down.

"It's over... we're not doing it," Parker said. "I'm disappointed." While Cattrall had issues with the script, Parker claimed it's a "beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story." She added, "It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

The cancellation has left many "SATC" fans heartbroken including Sia Furler. The singer/songwriter joked on Twitter, "Ok. @wbpictures can I just play Samantha and we give the people more sex and the city? We'll just pretend I had lots of plastic surgery!"
