'Justice League': Kiersey Clemons' Iris West Reportedly Also Cut by Joss Whedon

After Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, Clemons' Iris West is also removed from the film by Whedon, who acts as the director of post-production and screenwriter for its additional scenes and reshoots.

AceShowbiz - It appears Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is not the only character to be cut from Warner Bros.' upcoming "Justice League". A new report from Batman News has emerged, suggesting that Kiersey Clemons' Iris West won't make her debut in the superhero team-up movie as her scenes have also been removed by Joss Whedon.

Clemons previously discussed her time on the set of the film. "The parts that I did introducing Iris are f**king sick. I can't wait to see the movie," she excitedly said. "I'm so happy that I've been introduced to this genre because I didn't really have any type of desire to be a part of any superhero world. And then I stepped on the set of 'Justice League' and I was like, 'Holy s**t. Alright!' "

Whedon has been acting as the director of post-production and screenwriter for its additional scenes and reshoots after Zack Snyder left the project earlier this year following his daughter's suicide. Late last month, rumor had it that Eisenberg's cameo as the archenemy of Superman in the film was cut by Whedon, and Batman News has just confirmed that it's true.

"Justice League" is coming to theaters across the nation on November 17. Ben Affleck is back as Batman, Henry Cavill once again plays Superman, Gal Gadot is reprising her role as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa portrays Aquaman, Ezra Miller is back as The Flash, and Ray Fisher plays Cyborg. Other cast members include Amy Adams, Amber Heard, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Willem Dafoe and Ciaran Hinds.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
