AceShowbiz - Macklemore releases a music video for his new single "Good Old Days" that features Kesha. The rapper and his collaborator play a couple in the Johnny Valencia-directed clip, channeling their inner hippies as they go on a road trip with another couple, meet other free spirit group, take a dip in a lake, and perform in a bonfire.
"I wish somebody would have told me that, some day, these will be the good old days /All the love you won't forget, and all these reckless nights you won't regret /Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change, you'll miss the magic of these good old days," Kesha kicks off the song.
"She is someone that I walked into the room and I immediately just caught a vibe and became friends with instantaneously," Macklemore gushed about his featured guest in an interview. "She's a musician, she's a writer, she's someone that is not afraid to try ideas in the studio, not afraid to get vulnerable in front of people, not scared to go for the high note when she doesn't know if she can hit it or not. She is a musician in every sense of the word, and she's hilarious."
Kesha also praised on the hip-hop star in an Instagram post, "Proud of my friend @macklemore. We made a song 'Good Old Days' that makes me feel the nostalgia from when I was 16 years old and chasing wild dreams and hoping for the best, not knowing that those moments would be so precious. Thankful for those random wild nights. [love] Happy for you Ben."
The single is recorded for Macklemore's next studio installment called "Gemini" which is expected to come out this weekend on Friday, September 22. He performed the song live for the first time on TV with Kesha on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".
