AceShowbiz - Wonder Woman has finally been confirmed to appear in The Flash solo film. A new report from Deadline has emerged claiming that "Justice League" actress Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in the film which is now called "Flashpoint".

The site mentions the 32-year-old Israeli-born actress' involvement in DC's upcoming film when reporting that she's in early talks to join Max Landis-scripted supernatural thriller "Deeper", which has Bradley Cooper attached to star and "White God" helmer Kornel Mundruczo on board to direct.

In the drama, a disgraced astronaut embarks on a mission to reach the bottom of a newly discovered oceanic trench, theorized to be the lowest point on Earth. He encounters an increasing level of danger and soon finds himself in a psychological (and physical) fight against mysterious forces.

The news outlet also reports that Landis is producing with David Goyer, in a co-production between Phantom Four and Addictive Pictures. Also serving as producers are Kevin Turen for Phantom 4 as well as Russell Ackerman and John Schoenfelder for Addictive.

Gadot can soon be seen as the golden lasso-wielding superheroine in "Justice League", which is due out November 17 in the United States. Directed by Zack Snyder, the superhero team-up pic also stars Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Henry Cavill as Superman.

As for "Flashpoint", the film is currently scheduled to be released sometime in 2020, with Miller reprising his role as the Scarlet Speedster. No additional detail is known about the plot of the upcoming solo flick, which continues its struggle to find a director. Back when Rick Famuyiwa was on board to helm, another main character from the "Flashpoint" storyline in the comics, Cyborg, was rumored to be part of The Flash solo film.
