The 'Glee' alum and the Tony nominee will join impressive guest stars, including Tony winner Ben Platt, Harry Connick Jr., Minnie Driver and Bobby Cannavale.

AceShowbiz - "Will & Grace" revival on NBC has just added two major actors to its already star-studded celebrity guest list. The upcoming revived show will feature Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells guest-starring in some of the episodes.

It remains to be seen what characters that "Glee" favorite Lynch and Tony nominee Rannells will portray in the 16-part new season. The two join previously announced guest stars, including Tony winner Ben Platt, as well as returning actors Harry Connick Jr., Minnie Driver and Bobby Cannavale.

Rumor has it that Michelle Obama is going to make a guest appearance on the revival. "Former first lady Michelle Obama will appear on the show," an insider revealed. "The details are still being worked out, but supposedly Michelle is up for anything, as long as it doesn't cross the line too much." The episode will likely touch on politics issues, but the former FLOTUS reportedly "will not be taking any personal jabs at President Donald Trump."

Lynch recently nabbed the award of Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series at the 2017 Creative Arts Emmys for her role as Olivia Vanderstein on Amazon's "Dropping the Soap". Meanwhile, Rannells is fresh off the final season of HBO's "Girls", on which he played Hannah's (Lena Dunham) friend and roommate Elijah Krantz.

The upcoming new season will feature a lavish musical episode, which was teased in the trailer. Prior to the new season premiere, "Will & Grace" revival was picked up for a 13-episode second season on NBC.

Original cast members Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, Sean Hayes and Eric McCormack are all returning. The original series ran from 1998 to 2006 on NBC. Revolving around a gay man, Will (McCormack), and his best friends, Grace (Messing), Jack (Hayes) and Karen (Mullaly), the comedy won 16 Primetime Emmy Awards over its run.

"Will & Grace" is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, September 28 at 9 P.M. on NBC.
