The 'Sk8er Boy' hitmaker joined the rock star to perform 'Rockstar' during Los Angeles stop of his band Nickelback's 'Feed the Machine Tour'.

AceShowbiz - Avril Lavigne made a triumphant comeback onstage. For the first time in three years, the "Complicated" hitmaker returned to the stage to perform a collaboration with her ex-husband Chad Kroeger and his band Nickelback a few days ago. The performance was a part of the band's "Feed the Machine Tour".

The crowd at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles went wild as the Canadian beauty was casually walking to the stage to join the band performing one of their biggest hits, "Rockstar". Avril later took to Instagram to share a video taken from the performance. "Good to be back on stage! Feeling excited. Happy and grateful," so she captioned the clip.

With Avril's return to the stage, it looks like the Canadian songstress is finally ready to release her new album. She put her career on hold after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease back in 2014. Her latest studio album was a self-titled effort "Avril Lavigne", which arrived in 2013. Meanwhile, her latest release was a collaboration with Nick Carter, "Get Over Me".

Avril first announced her sixth album late last year. She took to Instagram to reach out to her fans as writing, "I wanted to first thank my fans for your patience & support during my time away throughout my battle with Lyme Disease over the past 2 years. It hasn't just been a hard battle but it's also been enlightening and will reflect in my new music, artistry, life, and personally."

"I'm really happy to announce that I am now working on new music and I will be releasing a new album in 2017," she added. "I can't wait to open up and share my heart with you! I'm excited for you guys to hear the new songs."

The new album, which is expected to arrive later this year, will mark Avril's first project following her new deal with BMG in March. "For this album I have a new team behind me and I just signed with BMG," she previously shared. "I've been working really hard on the new music and it's a reflection of my journey over the last few years. At this point in my career and in my life, I just wanted to put fresh energy around me and I feel like I'm having somewhat of a rebirth in my life."
