Featuring flashbacks to Claire and Jamie's steamy moments, the trailer highlights the couple's time apart.

AceShowbiz - Starz hypes up the upcoming return of "Outlander" by debuting a new trailer for season 3. Titled "The Reunion of the Centuries", it shows Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) steamy moments as well as the heartbreaking moment when they had to part ways.

"Twenty years ago I shut the door on the past, and it was the hardest thing I've ever done," says Claire to her 20th century husband Frank (Tobias Menzies). "I can't go through that again." Meanwhile, Jamie says, "I would give up everything I have for us to be together again."

Based on "Voyager", the third book in Diana Gabaldon's book series, the third season follows Jamie who suffers from the aftermath of his doomed last stand at the historic battle of Culloden, as well as the loss of Claire. Separated by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must find their way back to each other.

Returning to her 20th century husband Frank, Claire welcomes her child with Jamie, Brianna, whom Frank raises as his. A previously released promo hints at their tumultuous marriage as Claire can't stop thinking about Jamie.

In 18th century, Jamie returns home only to be arrested again. He will strike a dubious friendship with Lord John Grey (David Berry), a former British soldier-turned-Ardsmuir Prison governor.

Caitriona Balfe previously said that the first few episodes will show "the parallel journeys that Jamie and Claire took during their 20 years apart from one another."

New additions to the cast include Hannah James and Tanya Reynolds as Geneva and Isobel Dunsany respectively, Cesar Domboy as a grown-up version of Fergus, Wil Johnson as Claire's close friend and medical colleague Joe Abernathy, John Bell as Jamie's nephew Ian Murray, and Lauren Lyle as Marsali, Laoghaire's (Nell Hudson) "rebellious" daughter.

The time-crossing love story returns for the new season on Sunday, September 10 at 8 P.M. on Starz.
