The '99 Problems' hitmaker pays homage to Linkin Park's late frontman during his headlining set at a British music festival.

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z paid tribute to Chester Bennington during his headlining set at the V Festival in Staffordshire, England recently. The hip-hop star performed Linkin Park's hit single "Numb/Encore" to remember the band's late vocalist. "Let's show some love for Chester tonight!" he told the crowd.

In 2004, Jay-Z teamed up with Linkin Park on a collaborative remix EP "Collision Course". The single "Numb/Encore" went on to win a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Jay-Z also produced "The Rising Tied", the debut album of Mike Shinoda's side project Fort Minor.

Jay-Z's set at the V Fest was a warm-up ahead of his upcoming tour to support his latest studio album "4:44". He is set to kick off the tour in Anaheim at the Honda Center on October 27. He will stay on the road until late this year. He is set to wrap it up on December 21 in Inglewood at The Forum.

"4:44" is the rapper's thirteenth studio album to follow up his 2013's effort "Magna Carta Holy Grail". In the new album, he mentioned his feud with "Watch the Throne" collaborator Kanye West and his 2014 elevator fight with sister-in-law Solange Knowles.

In a recent interview, the Jiggaman addressed his fight with Beyonce Knowles' sister, "We've had one disagreement ever. Before and after, we've been cool." The hip-hop star added, "She's like my sister. I will protect her. That's my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister."

When asked about the drama with Kim Kardashian's husband, he said, "Kanye's my little brother. He's talked about me 100 times. He made a song called 'Big Brother'. We've gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it's a problem with me. That's a real, real problem. And he knows it's a problem."

"He knows that he crossed the line. I know him. He knows. I know he knows, because we've never let this much space go between one of our disagreements, and we've had many, because that's who we are. That's what I like about him. He's an honest person, he's open and he'll say things and he's wrong a lot of times and he'll confront it."
