The concept art for Marvel's first solo female superhero movie sees the lead actress as Carol Danvers donning a red-and-blue costume.
The first official look at Brie Larson as Captain Marvel was first revealed at San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago. A blurry image has since made its round on the internet, and now a much clearer version of the concept art arrives online.
"I don't mean to ignore all of u requesting the higher res of #CaptainMarvel I painted. Sorry but I can't [sad face] When I get green light I def will," artist Andy Park tweeted. Rocking a shoulder-length hair, Larson dons a red-and-blue costume that faithful to the one seen in Kelly Sue DeConnick's books back in 2012.
"Captain Marvel" will follow Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot who gains powers after her DNA becomes fused with an alien after an accident. The Marvel first solo female superhero movie is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Due March 8, 2019 in the U.S., it will see Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury.
